Kana Kim

Originally from Osaka, Kana is a fourth-generation Zainichi Korean. After graduating from Waseda University, she worked in advertising sales for HOT PEPPER Beauty at Recruit, then was involved in digital signage production at UNIQLO while beginning her studies in design. She completed an MA in Graphic Design Communication at University of the Arts London (UAL), where her work explored identity through “awai,” the in-between space of being a Korean in Japan. In London, she also worked on design and operations for the Sake Sommelier Association and organized meetups for the London Japanese Student Network. After returning to Tokyo, she gained experience as a designer at mount inc. In 2026, she joined Coral Capital, where she is responsible for Coral’s startup community.

She enjoys golf, dance, skiing, and good food and drinks.
